We accept manuscripts all year round. The submission deadline for January 2009 issue (Volume 3 No. 1) is September 30th, 2008.
Aims
and Scope
The journal
serves as a vehicle for reporting and sharing the results
of studies by early childhood education in the Pacific area.
It is peer reviewed to insure that only high quality manuscripts
are accepted for publication.
The journal
is multi-disciplinary and serves educators and other professionals
concerned with the education and care of young children. It
focuses primarily on research activities in the Pacific Rim
area, though research reports from other areas are not excluded.
The journal includes research articles related to the education
and care of children from birth to age 8 and to related topics.
These include reports of empirical research, reviews of research,
critiques of research, and articles related to the applications
of research to practice.

Papers should be typed with double spacing and sent electronically

Where this is not possible, 3 copies of the article along with an electronic copy of the manuscript should

submitted to ASIA-PACIFIC JOURNAL OF RESEARCH IN EARLY CHILDHOOD
EDUCATION should not be under consideration by any other journal,
or have been published elsewhere, and the letter accompanying
the submission of any manuscript should contain a clear statement
to this effect.
The author(s)
name(s) and author's correspondence information, including e-mail address should
appear on page 1. The title of paper on page 2. Each paper
requires an abstract of 150 words summarizing the significant
coverage and findings on page 3. Each abstract should be accompanied
by up to 4 keywords . The font should be Times New Roman 12.
All pages of the manuscript must be numbered.
Length
Manuscripts should be 2500-5000 wordsin length plus reference
(double spaced).
Final
Submissions
Authors
should send the final, revised version of their article in
both hard copy (paper) and electronic (disk or CD) forms.
It is essential that the hard copy (paper) version exactly
matches the material on disk. Please print out the hard copy
from the disk you are sending. Submit three printed copies
of the final version with the disk to the journal's editorial
office. Save all files on a standard 3.5-inch high-density
disk or CD. We prefer to receive disks in Microsoft Word (PC
format), but can translate from most other common word-processing
programs as well as Macs. Please specify which program you
have used. Do not save your files as "text only" or "read
only".
Tables
and Figures
Tables must be typed on separate sheets and not included as
part of the text. The captions to illustrations should be
gathered and typed on a separate sheet. Tables should be numbered
by Roman numerals and figures by Arabic numerals. The approximate
position of tables and figures should be indicated in the
paper. Please supply clear copies of artwork (preferably the
originals) for figures in a finished format suitable for reproduction.
Figures will not normally redrawn by the publisher. The author(s)
must arrange permission for the reproduction of illustrations
and table within articles. Figures may be sent electronically,
preferably in either TIFF (tagged image format) or EPS (encapsulated
Postscript) formats. However, we can also accept PICT or JPEG
formats. The publisher will normally reproduce color figures
in black and white. All figures and tables should be mentioned
in the text.
Style
Manuscripts submitted should follow the style guidelines included
in the publication manual of the American Psychological Association
(5thed.). This manual is available in bookstores or from the
American Psychological Association
